The Tamed Being explores the subtle violence hidden behind spectacle. The work reflects how freedom is slowly stripped away when living beings are forced into submission. Throughout the composition, fragmented, animal-like forms emerge—echoes of creatures taken from their natural habitats and compelled to perform under artificial lights.
What appears vibrant, festive, and inviting from a distance begins to unravel upon closer engagement. Beneath the bright colors and rhythmic textures lies an unsettling undercurrent: the quiet numbness that settles in when one is observed, judged, and moulded to fit society’s expectations. Stepping into this world reveals not joy, but a darker psychological terrain—a space where the mind no longer feels like its own, and the idea of self becomes blurred, constrained, and tamed.
